Video marathon "The Way of winners" started in Khabarovsk Territory

The Winners' Way video marathon has begun in the Khabarovsk Territory. In the year declared by the President of the Russian Federation the Year of Defender of the Fatherland, in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, this marathon should be a tribute to all those who stood and stand guard over the Motherland. This was stated by Governor Dmitry Demeshin in his Telegram channel.

IA AmurMedia clarifies that in order to become a participant in the marathon, it is necessary to read on video a poem by Soviet or Russian authors dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, poetry by fighters of their own or their own composition.

The video, lasting no more than 1 minute, should be posted on the marathon participant's page on the VKontakte social network with the hashtag #The Way of the winners. A prerequisite is to tag your friends so that they too have the opportunity to join the marathon.

According to the governor, from March to May, video recording points will operate in public places of the Khabarovsk Territory. Videos of the marathon participants will be shown on local TV channels, and authorities and popular bloggers will post them on their social media pages.

The head of the region has already taken part in the action. He read Konstantin Simonov's poem "Homeland". Dmitry Dyuzhev, Yulia Peresild, Vladimir Sychev, Sergey Trofimov and Grigory Leps took part in the recording.

Earlier, on March 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma a bill recognizing the date of the end of the Leningrad Battle on August 9 as the Day of Military Glory. Amendments are proposed to the law "On days of military glory and memorable dates of Russia." According to the explanatory note, the recognition of the date of the end of the Leningrad Battle as the day of military glory will emphasize the military-strategic importance of the event as the longest battle of the Great Patriotic War, as well as perpetuate the feat of the defenders of the city.
