The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has found Gazprombank's advertising inappropriate. Consumers did not receive complete information about all the conditions of financial services, the service reported on March 18.

"One of the organization's commercials was broadcast on television and radio and contained attractive information about the contribution at a rate of up to 25% per annum. In another TV video, it was reported that Gazprombank's card provides a profitable 35% cashback on all transactions," the FAS explained.

Information about the key conditions for obtaining financial services in the explanatory footnotes of the video ads was presented in a difficult-to-understand way and only for a short period of time, whereas in radio ads it was completely absent.

The service opened cases, found the advertisement inappropriate and issued orders to stop violations.

The organization faces fines in accordance with Article 14.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, on January 13, the FAS fined Alfa-Bank for improper advertising campaign with Yandex.Food. It was reported that the joint advertisement was distributed on the air of federal TV channels. The video contained information that was attractive to consumers about accruing 50% cashback when paying for an order in the Yandex service with any bank card.
