More than 350 veterans of the special military operation (SVO) became participants of the All-Russian "Defenders of the Fatherland Cup" in winter sports.

Mikhail Degtyarev, Minister of Sports and President of the Russian Olympic Committee, stressed that this competition was a significant step in the development of adaptive sports in the country. He added that the Defenders of the Fatherland Cup is organized by the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, the Paralympic Committee, the Ministry of Sports and various regions.

"For our part, we have increased the number of competitions for veterans of the special operation — we have more than 40 events and competitions on our calendar this year on behalf of our president," Degtyarev said on March 18.

It is noted that veterans from 60 regions of Russia participated in the Defenders of the Fatherland Cup. Biathlon, alpine skiing, snowboarding and sledge hockey competitions were held as part of the tournament.

On March 13, the first shooting competitions among employees of all departments of the metropolitan police took place in Moscow. The event was organized by specialists from the Russian Practical Shooting Federation, who were particularly creative in creating tests for the participants. The tournament became an opportunity to test your strength in non-standard conditions, as well as hone your skills.
