Flood waters flooded more than 30 household plots in the Chelyabinsk region

There was a rise in the water level on the Sima River in the Ashinsky district, which led to flooding of 31 household plots. This was reported on March 18 in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Chelyabinsk region.

The plots are located along the streets of Matrosova, Embankment, Oktyabrskaya, Zarechnaya.

The ministry added that a working group with unmanned aerial vehicles and the forces of a specialized fire and rescue unit went to the scene. The flooded areas are located on Matrosova, Embankment, Oktyabrskaya and Zarechnaya streets.

"House-to-house visits are underway, informing and notifying the public about the current situation. A temporary accommodation facility has been set up for citizens at the Asha Hotel," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a Telegram channel.

According to the Ministry of Public Security of the region, the head of the Ashinsky district is at the scene to promptly resolve emerging issues and monitor restoration work. Additional hydraulic posts have been installed to monitor the situation. Rescuers and firefighters are present at the scene.

All efforts and means are aimed at ensuring the safety of the population.

Earlier, on March 17, 15 households were flooded in the Beloretsky district of Bashkiria in the village of Gabdyukovo as a result of ice jam on the Bolshoy Inzer River. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Bashkortostan, no one lives in 11 of the 15 households. There were no casualties, the ministry said.
