Airborne gunners destroyed the AFU UAV control point at Chasova Yar

Gunners of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne unit destroyed the control point of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during a combat mission The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the outskirts of Chasova Yar in the DPR. This was announced on March 18 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"On the outskirts of Chasova Yar, artillery crews of the Yaroslavl Parachute Regiment of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Forces destroyed the AFU UAV control center with a calculation. UAV operators constantly conduct aerial reconnaissance in the area of responsibility of the howitzer battery, identifying various targets, from enemy shelters to vehicles and various drones," the ministry said.

It is specified that the combat crews of the unit strike at enemy manpower and equipment, as well as at strong points and long-term firing points.

"In moments of calm, before the next combat operation, the platoon commander presented the distinguished serviceman with a state award — the Medal for Bravery," the Defense Ministry said.
