The doctor named the symptoms of computer vision syndrome

Headache, dry eyes, and blurred vision indicate computer vision syndrome (CSD), which, in turn, appears due to prolonged use of computers, phones, and other digital screens. Igor Malyatsinsky, an ophthalmologist and ophthalmic surgeon at Meditsina JSC, told Gazeta about this on March 18.Ru».
"Patients often complain of headaches caused by eye muscle tension, photosensitivity, and discomfort in the neck and shoulders due to improper posture during work. It may also be difficult to focus your eyes when switching your gaze from near objects to distant ones," the specialist noted.
At the same time, the doctor clarified that KZS is a condition caused by a combination of symptoms, and not a separate disease.
For example, prolonged computer work, a poorly organized workplace, improper lighting, decreased blinking frequency, and incorrectly selected vision correction tools can lead to computer vision syndrome.
To avoid CFS, Maliatsinsky recommends taking a break from time to time when working behind the screen and planning your workplace correctly. According to the doctor, comfortable lighting and moisturizing the eyes will also help reduce the risks.
"If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to consult an ophthalmologist for further examination and treatment selection," the specialist concluded.
Earlier, on March 10, ophthalmologist, laser surgeon at the SM Clinic, Ph.D. Svetlana Mirgorodskaya told Izvestia that the so-called flies in front of the eyes are a symptom that may indicate the presence of quite dangerous pathologies of the visual organs that require medical examination. According to her, the most common cause of the appearance of floating flies is the destruction of a gel-like substance that occupies two thirds of the eye and consists of water, hyalocytes, reticulin and collagen fibers.
