Harvard University will make tuition free for students from families with incomes of $200,000 or less starting next academic year. This was reported on March 17 by The Harvard Gazette (HG).

It is specified that students from families with incomes of $ 100,000 or less will cover the costs of food, accommodation, medical insurance and travel.

"This significant expansion of financial aid, which will begin in the 2025/26 academic year, will make Harvard accessible to more students than ever, especially from middle-income families," the publication says.

According to the publication, the initiative will allow 86% of families to apply for financial support from Harvard.

Earlier, on March 8, it was reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump ordered to deprive Columbia University of $ 400 million in funding due to anti-Semitism. It is specified that the protesters set up a camp at the educational institution in April 2024, thereby inspiring a whole wave of similar protests.
