White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt could not confirm the US withdrawal from the Russia investigation team. She announced this on March 17 during a briefing for journalists.
"I can't confirm this because I haven't heard about it," she said.
Levitt also urged not to take seriously the information that appeared earlier in the Reuters news agency that the United States allegedly left the investigation team against Russia because of the situation in Ukraine.
"I would warn everyone against taking this seriously. But I can check and come back to you," she said.
Earlier in March, Levitt called Kiev an "incredibly stubborn negotiator." According to her, for the successful holding of peace talks on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, concessions from both sides are necessary, but Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not understand this fact.
