In Kharkov, employees of the shopping mall (an analogue of the military enlistment office. A man riding a bicycle was hit by a minibus, after which they forcibly put him in a car and drove away. This was reported on March 17 by the newspaper "Country.ua" in the Telegram channel.

"In Kharkov, a shopping mall car hit a cyclist on the move. The man dropped his bike and ran away," the newspaper reported.

At the same time, it is clarified that later the man was still caught up and taken away in a minibus.

The incident was also commented on by official representatives of the military enlistment office.

"After the incident, the servicemen stopped the car to provide the necessary assistance, but the cyclist left the scene," the department said on its social network page.

In early February, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to recruit young people from 18 to 24 years old into the Armed Forces of Ukraine through special contracts. He noted that 1 million hryvnias (just over $24 thousand), free admission to university without exams, as well as special mortgage conditions will be provided for young Ukrainians.

Martial law has been in effect in Ukraine since February 2022. At the same time, Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization, which was repeatedly extended. In April 2024, the head of the Kiev regime approved a law to tighten mobilization.
