Lokomotiv won the KHL regular season for the first time.

Yaroslavl hockey club (HC) Lokomotiv beat Admiral from Vladivostok at home in the regular championship of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The match on March 17 ended with a score of 4:1.

Among the Lokomotiv players, Richard Panik (2nd minute), Martin Gernat (31st), Alexander Polunin (49th) and Artur Kayumov (60th) scored goals. Daniil Gutik scored against Vladivostok HC (41st).

Thus, the Yaroslavl club scored 98 points in 66 matches and for the first time became the winner of the KHL regular season and the Continental Cup winner. In the next match on March 19, Lokomotiv will play against CSKA.

Earlier that day, all the KHL championship teams that will participate in the 2025 Gagarin Cup were determined. Traktor, Salavat Yulaev, Metallurg, Avtomobilist, Ak Bars, Avangard, Admiral and Sibir will join the decisive games from the Eastern Conference clubs. The Western Conference will be represented by Lokomotiv, Dynamo Moscow, Spartak, CSKA, Dinamo Minsk, SKA, Severstal and Torpedo.
