Novak announced Russia's interest in building new power plants in Tajikistan

Russia is interested in building new power plants in Tajikistan, which will involve companies from the Russian Federation, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on March 17.
"As you know, Russia has invested in the construction of the Sangtuda hydroelectric power station in Tajikistan. We are also interested in building new power plants with the participation of our company," he said in an interview with Rossiya-1 TV channel.
Novak also added that Moscow is also interested in repairing, re-equipping and modernizing the existing hydroelectric power plant, since Tajikistan has a very high water potential.
