In Switzerland, over 30,000 Ukrainian citizens have lost their refugee status since 2022. This was announced on March 17 by the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).

"30,918 S status permits have been revoked," the agency's account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) says.

The S status in Switzerland grants refugees the right to work in the country, to have insurance, as well as the right to receive education and free movement within the territory of the state.

According to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, 68,725 refugees are registered in Switzerland.

Andreas Breitner, director of the Association of Housing Companies of Northern Germany (VNW), said on March 5 that Germany expects a new mass flow of Ukrainian refugees in connection with the decision of the administration of US President Donald Trump to stop military aid to Kiev. According to him, most of the refugees will come to the north of Germany, since the Ukrainian diaspora has already formed there in three years.
