A new sports complex is planned to be built in Megeta in the Angara region

In the village of Meget in the Angarsk city district of the Irkutsk region, it is planned to build a new sports and recreation complex and improve the stadium. The regional government announced this on Monday, March 17.
"The project provides for a complete renovation of the existing sports facility with the dismantling of old structures and the placement of new facilities. It will be implemented within the framework of the federal project "Development of physical culture and mass sports," the authorities said in a statement.
Currently, a contractor is being sought for the development of project documentation. It is planned to determine the contractor in the second quarter of 2025, and to begin construction itself according to the project prepared by him in 2026.
The new FOK will be built on the site of the former Luch stadium in the center of Megheta. A modular gym with an outdoor stadium will be located on a plot of about 17 thousand square meters, which will be able to accommodate up to 24 people per shift with the ability to organize four shifts per day.
According to IrkutskMedia news agency, it is expected that there will be TRP test sites, workout areas, a multi-purpose playground and a running track, as well as a mini football field.
