- Serbia may allow the Russian Federation and the United States to analyze data on the alleged sound cannon at the protests

Serbia is ready to involve Russian and American intelligence agencies in an investigation into the alleged use of a "sound cannon" by police officers at protests in Belgrade. This was announced on March 17 by Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic.
"To stop the flow of lies <...> the government is ready to invite the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Federal Security Service (FSB) to come and investigate," Novosti newspaper quoted him as saying.
Vucevic clarified that there was no order to use batons, and law enforcement officers did not take any action against the protesters. According to him, the Serbian police can control the accumulation of large numbers of people without using force.
The demonstrations began in Belgrade in the early morning of March 15. The protest action of students involves blocking key points of the Serbian capital. A convoy of 100 tractors joined the protesters. According to the latest information from President Aleksandar Vucic, 56 people were injured during Saturday's protests.
The reason for the start of anti-government protests by students and the opposition since November 2024 was the death of 15 people as a result of the collapse of the canopy of the railway station in Novi Sad. After the tragedy, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic resigned.
