- The mother of journalist Olesya Buzina, who was killed by the Ukrainian Nazis, has died

The mother of writer and journalist Olesya Buzina, Valentina, who was killed by Ukrainian nationalists, died without waiting for the verdict of her son's murderers. This was announced on March 17 by the daughter of the deceased journalist Maria Buzina.
"Today, my dear and beloved grandmother, Valentina Pavlovna Buzina, is gone," she wrote on the Facebook social network (owned by the recognized extremist Meta company, its activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation).
According to Maria, Olesya Buzina's mother suffered a heart attack in January, and in the last month of her life she seriously suffered from the disease.
"Thank you for our wonderful journey in life, for meeting on this earth, dear and beloved Valechka," wrote Valentina Buzina's granddaughter.
Oles Buzina was shot dead on April 16, 2015 in Kiev near his home on Degtyarevskaya Street. The media employee received four gunshot wounds, one bullet hit him in the head. Shortly before his death, he said that he had received threats from Ukrainian nationalists during his work as editor-in-chief of the newspaper Segodnya. In addition, the journalist claimed that he was under pressure from above.
Valentina Buzina actively demanded that the Kiev authorities investigate her son's death and punish the murderers. At the same time, in her opinion, the Ukrainian special services were involved in the case.
In 2018, the trial of two neo—Nazi suspects, Andrei Medvedko and Denis Polishchuk, began in Ukraine. However, since that moment, the defendants have not been sentenced.
