- The first wave of spring floods in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is expected at the end of March.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the first wave of spring floods is expected in late March and early April. A preliminary flood forecast was prepared in the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
According to the forecast, during the first wave, the territories of Berezovsky, Yemelyanovsky, Ermakovsky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky, Shushensky, Uzhursky districts, Bogotolsky, Kozulsky, Tyukhtetsky, Sharypovsky municipal districts will be at risk. The significant waterlogging of the soil that occurred in November 2024 may seriously complicate the situation.
"During the period of sharp warming with intense snowmelt in the south and in the center of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, flooding of low—lying areas, erosion of roads, bridges, dams on ponds and small reservoirs from slope runoff and flooding of small rivers is possible," the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
The second wave of flooding will take place in the region in the third decade of April – the first decade of July, when snow will actively melt in the foothill and mountain taiga areas of the Sayan Mountains, and the Yenisei and Angara rivers will be freed from ice.
During this period, the most vulnerable areas will be Balakhtinsky, Yemelyanovsky, Yeniseysky, Ermakovsky, Irbeysky, Karatuzsky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky, Turukhansky, Evenk districts, Birilussky, North Yeniseysky municipal districts.
In addition, when the Yenisei, Angara, Podkamennaya Tunguska, Nizhnyaya Tunguska, Tuba, Kan, Taseeva, and Chulym rivers are opened, water may rise to critical levels. There is also a risk of rain floods.
According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, a grouping of forces and means of the territorial subsystem of the regional Emergency management system is involved in flood relief and responding to possible emergencies. This is more than 12.2 thousand people and 4.8 thousand units of equipment, of which 1,298 people and 1,260 units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. If the flood situation worsens, it is planned to involve the airmobile group of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
