The Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, sound engineer Valentin Bobrovsky, has died.

Honored Artist of Russia sound engineer Valentin Bobrovsky died at the age of 88. This was announced on March 17 on the website of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation.

"On March 15, 2025, at the age of 89, our friend and colleague, a great sound engineer, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Valentin Ivanovich Bobrovsky passed away," the message says.

It is noted that the farewell to the sound engineer will take place on March 19 at 10:00 Moscow time in the crematorium of the Khovansky cemetery.

Bobrovsky began working at the Mosfilm Studio in the mid-1950s. One of his first works was the film "Slave of Love" — it was this film that marked the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the sound engineer and director Nikita Mikhalkov. Later, they worked together on the films "An Unfinished Piece for a mechanical Piano", "A Few Days in the Life of Oblomov" and "Relatives".

Bobrovsky also participated in the creation of such films as "Sibiriada", "The Rescuer", "The Heiress in a straight line", "Alien white and pockmarked", "Cloud Paradise", "Little Devil".
