- The Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation announced his refusal to rotate the IAEA experts through Ukraine.

Russia is no longer ready to rotate experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) through the territory of Ukraine. This was announced on March 17 by Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Vienna.
According to him, it is dangerous to use the traditional rotation route. He recalled that after the Ukrainian side attacked the IAEA official vehicle on December 10, 2024, Moscow gave Kiev another chance to rotate on February 12. It was also disrupted.
"The rotation was derailed in the most brutal way with the use of heavy weapons against the convoy. To be honest, I don't think we will be ready to repeat such experiments," Ulyanov said at a press conference. His words are quoted by TASS.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova noted that by disrupting the rotation of IAEA experts to the Nuclear Power Plant on February 12, Ukraine demonstrated its terrorist nature and incompetence. She stressed that Moscow will continue to work with the agency and will make every effort to neutralize threats to the functioning of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
