An elderly Krasnoyarsk man was killed by an electric train at Sorokino station

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, an elderly man was killed as a result of an electric train collision. The Department of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Siberian Federal District reports this in its Telegram channel.

The tragedy occurred near the Sorokino station in the Mansky district of the region. The driver noticed a pedestrian on the tracks, beeped and applied emergency braking, but could not avoid hitting.

As a result of the incident, the man received various injuries, from which he died on the spot before the arrival of an ambulance. According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, he turned out to be a 70-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk. According to police, the pensioner was crossing the tracks in front of an approaching train.

In February, a freight train in the Tomsk Region hit a 17-year-old teenager who was probably crossing the tracks wearing headphones. The boy died, and the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office organized an investigation into the incident.
