Three people were killed and 33 injured in an accident in the Angara region in a week

Over the past week, 28 traffic accidents involving dead and injured people were recorded on the roads of the Irkutsk region. The regional State Traffic Inspectorate announced this in its Telegram channel on Monday, March 17.

"From March 10 to March 16, 2025, 28 road accidents were registered in the region, in which three people died, and 33 more were injured in various degrees of severity," the report says.

According to IrkutskMedia news agency, eight minors were among the injured, one of them died.

13 accidents out of the total number in the region were registered on the roads of the regional center and the suburbs, according to the Telegram channel of the Irkutsk State Traffic Inspectorate. Eight adults and five minors were injured in them. One person died.

Earlier on March 17, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia informed Izvestia that 405 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads over the past weekend, in which 45 people were killed and 515 injured. 36 of the dead were drivers and passengers of vehicles.
