He explained that, according to this policy, a domain can be closed if the corresponding two-letter country code is removed from the ISO 3166-1 list. Earlier, the media reported that ICANN allegedly plans to stop supporting the domain of the Soviet Union by 2030. The registry has no plans to liquidate the domain.SU and no formal actions have been taken by ICANN, they stressed.
