One girl was killed and one injured as a result of a hit-and-run in Simferopol

In Simferopol (Republic of Crimea), two girls crossing the road got under the wheels of a foreign car. One of them was thrown onto another car, she died, the Republican State Traffic Inspectorate reported in its Telegram channel on Monday, March 17.

The tragedy occurred the night before, on March 16, at 23:05 local time (coincides with Moscow time) on Kirov Avenue. It was previously established that the 20-year-old BMW X3 driver hit two girls crossing the road in an unintended place. The impact threw one of them into an oncoming Honda Civic.

As a result of the accident, a girl born in 1989 received fatal injuries. The second victim, born in 2000, was taken to the hospital with various injuries, according to IA SevastopolMedia.

All the circumstances of the incident are being established.

On the evening of March 15 in the center of Moscow, a BMW driver ran into a public transport stop after a collision with another car, injuring six people, including two teenagers. The Moscow prosecutor's office reported that the driver of the foreign car was drunk, and a criminal case had been opened.
