In the Pskov region, 22 km of rail lines were replaced on the Veshki - Karamyshevo section. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Oktyabrskaya Railway on Monday, March 17.

The work has been carried out since mid-February of the current 2025 in the technological window. This made it possible to minimize the impact on train traffic on this section.

As noted by the Pskov News feed, the upgrade of the tracks will significantly improve the quality and safety of rail services in the region.

Earlier it was reported that a direct train started running between Pskov and Murmansk. The journey time is about 33 hours.
