The Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the dismissal of the deputy head of the Department for the Kursk region of Priputy

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kursk region confirmed the dismissal of deputy head Leonid Priputa, who was responsible for civil defense and protection of the population in the region, due to loss of trust after an anti-corruption audit. This was reported on March 17 with reference to the RIA Novosti news agency.

"With regard to the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk region [for civil defense and population protection], Colonel Priputa L.K., an inspection was carried out on his compliance with the restrictions, prohibitions and duties established by anti-corruption legislation, as a result of which a decision was made to dismiss him from military service and enroll in the reserve due to loss of confidence in to the serviceman," the statement says.

Priputa was dismissed from his post on March 11, the agency added. On this day, the man was excluded from the lists of personnel of the main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kursk region.

It is specified that he was suspended after the initiation of a criminal case on fraud.

Earlier, on March 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged not to slow down the pace in the fight against corruption. He added that it hinders the development of the economy, the social sphere, the labor market, and also has a negative impact on the business environment and the investment climate.
