The Kremlin called on Israel to reconsider the decision to restrict Kulyukhin's work.

Russia is calling on its partners in Israel to reconsider the decision to ban Izvestia journalist Nikita Kulyukhin from attending the weekly press conferences of Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. This was announced on March 16 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
He clarified that each country separately regulates the regime of journalists attending events at the highest level. In particular, he stressed the existence of specific rules and regulations on this issue.
"If this ban is really related to a journalist's attempt to raise a particular topic, then, of course, we urge our partners in Israel, our Israeli friends, to reconsider this decision," he said at a briefing, answering a question from Izvestia.
The presidential press secretary clarified that if the ban is related to the content of the journalist's question, then the Russian side "would be more impressed by the absence of any restrictions."
On March 16, the Israeli Foreign Ministry banned Kulyukhin from attending the weekly press conferences of the Saarland Foreign Minister. This was reported by The Seventh Eye magazine with reference to the Israeli Foreign Ministry. This is due to the fact that at a press conference on March 4, a correspondent asked why the Israeli side did not condemn the glorification in Ukraine of accomplices of nationalists during the Holocaust, including their leader Bandera, responsible for the deaths of many Jews. The minister stated that he had not known about this before the question was asked, as well as about the tendency to rename streets of Ukrainian cities in their honor.
