- The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the transfer of data on mercenaries in the Kursk region to other countries

Russia is communicating through diplomatic channels with the states whose mercenaries have been spotted in the Kursk region. This was announced on March 17 by the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik.
"We have delegations to the OSCE. Through these delegations, we are trying to transfer the data that we receive to the governments of these states so that they respond to the fact that their citizens, as "gray geese," perform the functions of executioners on the Kursk territory and along the line of contact," he said on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Miroshnik noted that the information on mercenaries that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives from investigative agencies and military units is sent via diplomatic channels to those countries that have expressed a desire to "respond to the lawlessness and mercenary activities of their citizens."
The ambassador clarified that the reaction of the authorities varies. According to him, some countries independently ask the Russian side to transfer the data and express their intention to take action against the mercenaries.
At the same time, as Miroshnik notes, there are countries that seek to "cover up and minimize as much as possible" information about the participation of their mercenaries in the fighting near Kursk.
Yulia Zhdanova, acting head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna talks on military security and arms control, shared with Izvestia on March 4 that since December 2024, five more countries have been added, from where mercenaries fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) come to the special operation zone.
The Ukrainian army attacked Russian positions in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency.
