Emily Decennes, winner of the Palme d'Or, died at the age of 43.


The winner of the Golden Palm and Cesar awards, actress Emily Decenne, died at the age of 43, she had a rare type of adrenal cancer. This was announced on March 16 by the BFM TV channel.TV with reference to the AFP news agency.
"What a fierce fight! We don't choose her," the actress wrote on February 4 on the Instagram social network (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
The actress died on March 16 at the Gustave Russi hospital. Last December, she revealed that she was struggling with an aggressive illness. She had a relapse after remission.
Emily Decenne was born on August 29, 1981 in the city of Beley. The actress played in more than 50 films, among them: "Daughter of the subway line", "Not my type", "Rosetta", "Partner".
She won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999. The actress was awarded the prize for the best actress in the film "Rosetta". She was also awarded five nominations for the Cesar Award, which is considered one of the most prestigious in the French film industry.
