On March 16, a concert of the winners of the Golden Gramophone National Music Award was held in St. Petersburg. In the hero city, the music award has acquired a special meaning. It not only united the sought-after Russian pop stars, but also launched a series of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

The ceremony began with a patriotic block. The first song performed from the stage of the Ice Palace was "The Holy War" by Alexander Alexandrov and Vasily Lebedev-Kumach. One of the greatest compositions of the 20th century was performed by all the artists who were to take the stage that evening. A verse that had not been performed before was added to the composition, emphasizing its drama and significance today. Next, another, no less iconic song was played on the stage, proclaiming the triumph of life.: "The Solar Circle", which the stars sang together with young artists. Elena Sever also performed the patriotic song "Bring back the Memory", much loved by the audience.

"The fate of the Motherland and its future depend on each of us. And we must live for the sake of the future, for the sake of children, in the name of light and love. We couldn't ignore the Victory anniversary. So let our event open a series of celebrations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory," Elena Sever opened the patriotic introduction.

These moments were filled with a special meaning for each artist and audience. After all, St. Petersburg is a hero city, a city of military glory, a symbol of memory and pride for his country. And where else do the words of military songs sound so special?

The opening of the concert was very impressive. The audience greeted the compositions standing up, many could not hold back their tears. The artists and organizers dedicated this important moment to the anniversary of the Great Victory, which the country is celebrating this year. For Russian Radio, as the country's most popular and main Russian-language radio station, it was extremely important that the program include songs dedicated to the war, and that the concert remind of the importance of preserving memory and paying tribute to these pages of history.

The Golden Gramophone is an award that makes a significant contribution to the development of the Russian music industry. Russian Radio awards statuettes regardless of their regalia. That's why both masters and bright rising talents took to the stage in the Northern Capital.

Among the artists who presented their work to the audience that evening were Larisa Dolina, Denis Maidanov, "Earthlings", Artik & Asti, Vladimir Presnyakov, Dabro, Reflex, Denis Klyaver, Irina Dubtsova, Yuri and Vladimir Kiselyov, Artur Pirozhkov, SEREBRO, Alexander Shoua and the Nepara group, Alexandra Vorobyeva, Marina Briz, Alexander Panayotov, Khabib, Anastasia Barashkova & Samoel.

The Golden Gramophone in St. Petersburg once again demonstrated the beauty of Russian-language music. And the compositions that sounded from the stage seemed to revive the story, reminding us of the exploits of our ancestors.
