The UN told about the lack of basic necessities for a million Palestinian children

Almost a million Palestinian children live in conditions where they do not have even the most basic necessities. This was stated on March 17 in a report prepared by the regional director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) for the Middle East and North Africa, Eduard Begbeder.
"Without aid coming to the Gaza Strip, almost a million children are again living without basic things necessary for survival," Begbeder said, his words are quoted on the UNICEF website.
It is noted that children from Palestine live in fear and experience anxiety — these are the consequences of the denial of humanitarian assistance and protection.
The Regional Director drew attention to the fact that at the moment about 4 thousand newborns cannot receive help due to the impact of the conflict on medical institutions located in Gaza. At the same time, more than 180,000 doses of basic vaccines are stored several dozen kilometers from the border of the sector, which could protect 60,000 children under the age of two, and 20 ventilators for neonatal intensive care units.
As part of his report, Begbeder stated the need to allow the import of these drugs and equipment.
On March 2, the Kan 11 TV channel reported on the suspension of humanitarian aid supplies in the Gaza Strip, citing the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has halted the delivery of supplies after the refusal of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas to accept the US plan to continue negotiations.
