Vietnam Airlines will resume direct flights between Hanoi and Moscow from May after a three-year hiatus. This was reported by the airline's press service on its website.

"Starting from May 8, Vietnam Airlines will resume direct flights between Hanoi and Moscow, which will be operated twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays," the statement said on March 14.

Vietnam Airlines suspended flights on the Hanoi — Moscow route in March 2022. It is now expected that a direct flight from Hanoi to Moscow will contribute to the recovery of the tourism sector and trade between the two countries.

Starting from January 31, 2024, Aeroflot resumed regular flights from Sheremetyevo Airport to Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). At that time, it was reported that the flights would be operated twice a week.
