The Telegram messenger faces a fine of up to 4 million rubles if it refuses Roskomnadzor's demand to remove prohibited sets of stickers. This was reported in the press service of the department.

Roskomnadzor noted that two sets of stickers containing Nazi and extremist symbols were entered into the Unified Register of Prohibited Information based on a court decision. After that, the authority sent a corresponding notification to the owner of the hosting and Internet resource.

"Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation provides for administrative liability for failure to disclose illegal information. The amount of the fine for legal entities is up to 4 million rubles," the agency quotes TASS.

Roskomnadzor also stressed that Telegram has been repeatedly held accountable for distributing prohibited information. According to the authority, the total amount of fines imposed on the company is 94.5 million rubles.

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow appointed TikTok Pte on February 25. Ltd. an administrative fine of 3.5 million rubles. It was clarified that the platform was found guilty of failing to comply with the obligation to take measures to restrict access to prohibited information. According to the Izvestia correspondent, it concerned the involvement of minors in illegal activities.
