There are currently no prospects for resuming dialogue between Russia and NATO, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said in an interview with Izvestia. The alliance countries refused to consider Russia as a partner even in those areas where the interests of the parties coincided.

"I don't see any prospects at the moment. Of course, we cannot deny it, but what can we say if the NATO countries refused to consider Russia as a partner even in those areas where our interests objectively coincided, for example, in the fight against terrorism. Today, they have designated Russia as a direct and immediate threat to NATO countries, and they are conducting their military policy and the process of military construction in such a way as to achieve superiority over us in all theaters of military operations," Grushko stressed.

Recall that in December 2021, Russia proposed to the North Atlantic Alliance and the United States to discuss security guarantees. Negotiations between the Russian Federation and NATO took place in January 2022 in Brussels. Later, the alliance countries did not support the Russian proposals for these guarantees.
