- Witkoff reported on the discussion of possible agreements between the United States and the Russian Federation on the Black Sea

Russia and the United States are discussing a potential agreement on the Black Sea as part of the peace process in Ukraine. This was announced on March 16 by Stephen Witkoff, the special envoy of the American leader for the Middle East.
"There is access to ports, there is a potential agreement on the Black Sea," he said in an interview with CBS News.
According to him, there are many elements to discuss in the framework of the ceasefire agreement, including conditions on the battlefield and a nuclear reactor supplying electricity to Ukraine. Witkoff stressed that the parties concerned are ready to do everything necessary to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
On the evening of March 16, Witkoff said that great progress had been made in discussing the conflict in Ukraine at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. According to him, Washington expects that the upcoming telephone conversation between the Russian leader and US President Donald Trump will be positive and constructive. He specified that the heads of state could contact next week.
