The supply of Russian agricultural products to Qatar is expected to increase in 2025. Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, told reporters on March 16.
He specified that according to the results of last year, the Russian side supplied agricultural products to Qatar for a total value of $65.2 million. According to him, this exceeded the figures for 2023.
"At the same time, wheat and barley supplies form the basis of exports. We also expect an increase in shipments in 2025," he added.
In addition, Manturov said that a number of companies from the Russian Federation are arranging supplies, as well as working on possible localization of production in Qatar.
On the afternoon of March 16, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held a meeting with Manturov in Doha. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations of the friendly countries, as well as ways to strengthen and develop them.
