The Russian military told about the destruction of AFU equipment by Tornado-S systems

The Russian military is actively using a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) to destroy the military equipment of the Ukrainian enemy in the Kharkiv region "Tornado-S". On March 16, the head of the MLRS calculation with the call sign Tokyo told Izvestia about this.
"Basically, the Tornado-S machine is designed to destroy lightly armored vehicles, enemy infantry, and can hit some airfields, RAF depots, and military equipment. Of the last things that struck — the NATO Patriot, Vampire, "— said the military.
As the head of the calculation added, with each accurate hit of the Tornado-S on the target, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will have fewer air defense systems, which means they will not be able to shoot down Russian shells.
Correspondent Alexander Fedorchak noted that now the engineering units of the military in the region are also focusing on protecting the sky from Ukrainian drones.
"Engineers have done a tremendous job — this section of the 8 km long highway has been completely covered with nets. The system is called the "road of life": in order to drive safely, we had to drive more than a dozen seven-meter piles into the ground and wrap them with fishing nets so that everyone who passes through feels more or less protected," he said.
The March 13 edition of The National Interest also noted the Russian S-500 Prometheus missile defense system, calling it one of the best in the world and superior to its predecessors. The media pointed out that most analysts "consider the latest Russian version of the S-500 Prometheus to be first-class." The authors stressed that Ukraine's dependence on Western arms supplies makes the country more susceptible to the effects of the S-500.
