Zelensky dismissed the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Commander of the joint forces of the Ukrainian army Andrei Gnatov as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. This was confirmed on March 16 by a decree on the website of the head of state.
"Appoint Andrey Viktorovich Gnatov as Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the publication says.
Previously, the position was held by Anatoly Bargilevich, who was dismissed by the head of the Kiev regime by a previous decree.
On January 28, Taras Melnichuk, the government's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, announced the resignation of Dmitry Klimenkov, the country's deputy defense minister. Prior to that, on January 27, it became known that the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov became a defendant in a criminal case on abuse of office.
