Fighter jets of the US Armed Forces attacked Houthi targets from the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement for about 10 hours. This was announced on March 16 by Al Hadath TV channel.

"Ten consecutive waves of US airstrikes targeted weapons depots and the homes of Houthi leaders in Saada," the publication said.

It is noted that the US Armed Forces shelled the territories of Yemen under the control of the Houthis starting from 19:00 (coincides with Moscow time) on Saturday, March 15, until 05:00 on Sunday, March 16. The strikes targeted targets in the capital Sanaa, as well as in the provinces of Bayda, Hodeidah, Saada, Hajjah and Marib.

On March 15, US President Donald Trump announced that he had ordered the military to begin operations against the Yemeni Houthis. He noted that the decision is related to the "ongoing campaign of piracy, violence and terrorism" against American ships and ships of other countries, as well as aircraft and drones.

Soon, the central command of the US Armed Forces announced the start of a large-scale operation in Yemen. The Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement, in turn, stressed that the American airstrikes would not go unanswered.

According to the Al Arabiya TV channel, 31 people have already been killed and more than 100 Yemenis have been injured as a result of American strikes in Yemen.
