Ministry of Defense: The Russian Army has hit airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assembly shops and warehouses of UAVs

The Russian armed forces have hit the infrastructure of military airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and workshops for the production of drones for the Kiev regime. This was announced on March 16 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"The infrastructure of military airfields, workshops for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles and their storage sites, as well as concentrations of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries in 151 districts were damaged," the ministry said in a statement.

Strikes against the enemy were carried out by the forces of the operational and tactical aviation of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of the Russian Federation, attack drones, missile forces, as well as artillery.

The work of the air defense forces of the Russian army is also noted. According to the ministry, four US-made JDAM guided aerial bombs and 141 aircraft-type drones were shot down by anti-aircraft weapons.

Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defense announced a strike by a Su-34 fighter-bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces on a stronghold of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk border region. The ministry indicated that the targets were hit by aerial bombs with a universal planning and correction module (UMPC).
