- Baku announced the shelling of the Azerbaijani army position from the territory of Armenia

On March 16, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported the shelling of Azerbaijani army positions from Armenia.
"March 16 at 9:45 (8:45 GMT) The Armenian armed forces fired at the positions of our army from their positions in the rural village of Gorus using small arms," the ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.
In turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry on its Facebook page (owned by the recognized extremist Meta company, its activities are banned in the Russian Federation) called the statement of the Azerbaijani military department about the shelling on the border disinformation. It is noted that "the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to create a joint mechanism between Armenia and Azerbaijan to investigate cases of ceasefire violations and/or information about them, but Azerbaijan has not yet responded to this proposal."
On March 14, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, announced the approval of a draft peace agreement with Azerbaijan. The two leaders also discussed other issues related to regional and bilateral relations between Moscow and Yerevan.
The day before, Azerbaijan and Armenia had completed negotiations on agreeing on the text of the peace agreement. According to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Yerevan has accepted proposals regarding the last two uncoordinated points of the agreement.
