By 2035, it is planned to "switch almost the entire Mosgortrans fleet to electric traction in the capital," Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

Today, more than 2.3 thousand electric buses are operating on routes in Moscow. By 2030, their number will increase to 5.3 thousand.

"To do this, we are constantly building up the charging infrastructure. More than 30 terminal stations of land transport with electric bus chargers are already operating in the capital. In total, over 360 charging stations have been installed," Sobyanin wrote on Telegram.

The mayor recalled that the change of buses to electric buses in the capital began in 2018. "As a result, we managed to decently reduce the amount of harmful emissions into the atmosphere — about 190 thousand tons of carbon dioxide and almost 930 tons of pollutants," the mayor emphasized.
