The son of the ex-deputy governor of the Bryansk region, Tymoshenko, was taken into custody

Anton, the son of the former deputy governor of the Bryansk region, Sergei Timoshenko, who was arrested in a bribery case, was taken into custody on charges of mediation in bribery. This was announced on March 16 by the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"The son of the former deputy governor of the Bryansk region, accused of brokering a bribe, has been detained (Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the department's Telegram channel says.

According to investigators, Sergei Tymoshenko received through his son part of the corrupt money from entrepreneurs who built sports and recreation complexes in Bryansk, as well as engaged in major repairs of houses.

The ex-deputy governor of the Bryansk region was detained on March 14. According to the investigation, the official was responsible for the construction and overhaul of social and other facilities under state and municipal contracts and received bribes in the amount of 4 million rubles. On March 15, Sergei Tymoshenko was taken into custody.
