Soldiers of the North group of the Russian Armed Forces evacuated about 40 civilians, including bedridden patients, from the liberated town of Sudzha in the Kursk region. This was announced on March 16 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the ministry, the Ukrainian military shelled the settlement with artillery and used kamikaze drones. Local residents left their homes, taking only the most necessary things.

The evacuation continues, and people are being transported to safe areas.

Earlier, on March 14, it was reported that more than 240 people had been evacuated from the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region since the beginning of the evacuation. Rescuers accompany local residents to temporary accommodation centers, help them process documents, and find relatives and friends.
