The number of victims as a result of American strikes in Yemen has increased to 31, and more than 100 people have been injured. This was reported on March 16 by Al Arabiya TV channel.

Also, according to the newspaper, the United States attacked Houthi military installations in the city of Taiz in the south-west of the country.

The Israeli Walla portal, citing a senior official, notes that Washington warned Israel in advance about the upcoming operation in Yemen.

"Israel was one of the few countries that was informed before the attacks," the article clarifies.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the US military had launched airstrikes in the Yemeni province of Al-Bayda.

On March 15, Trump announced that he had ordered the US military to begin operations against the Yemeni Houthis. He noted that the decision is due to the fact that the Houthis are waging an "ongoing campaign of piracy, violence and terrorism" directed against American ships and ships of other countries, as well as aircraft and drones. Soon, the central command of the US Armed Forces announced the start of a large-scale operation in Yemen. The Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement, in turn, stressed that the American airstrikes would not go unanswered.
