On March 16, Maria Ermilova, Associate Professor of the Department of Sustainable Development Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, spoke about ways to save and multiply savings if deposit rates start to decrease.

The expert noted that both government and corporate bonds have the lowest level of risk for savings. According to her, it is also possible to invest in precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Ermilova clarified that it is necessary to invest not in one metal, but in all four at once.

"If the amounts are larger, we can consider investing in the real estate market. There are a lot of strategies on it. This is not necessarily a purchase of an object, but, for example, a share or even land," she added in an interview with the Prime agency.

According to the expert, the recently popular investment in insurance products can help to obtain both investment income and protection in case of unforeseen situations.

In addition, the associate professor considers investments in shares of leading companies profitable. However, she warned about possible risks when choosing this type of investment: sanctions, changes in the industry and market conditions.

Denis Astafyev, founder of the SharesPro investment company, spoke on March 6 about unusual ways of investing. According to the expert, one of them is the cultivation and sale of bonsai, the advantage of which lies in its unpretentiousness and relatively low maintenance costs. Astafyev also called such hobbies as collectible dolls, comics and video games a promising area for investment.
