The deputy Foreign Ministers of Russia and North Korea held talks in Pyongyang.


Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko held talks with his counterpart from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Kim Jong-gu and the country's Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee. This was reported on March 16 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"The negotiations discussed <...> cooperation in accordance with the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty and the agreements that were reached at the historic summit in June," the agency said in a statement.
In addition, the representatives of the states agreed on the exchange of experience and bilateral cooperation. They also agreed on practical measures to strengthen relations between the two countries.
According to the agency, the talks were held in a friendly atmosphere. The Russian Ambassador to Pyongyang, Alexander Matsegora, also took part in them.
KCNA reported on March 15 that Rudenko had arrived in North Korea with a delegation. At the airport of the city, the Russian representatives were met by employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, the Russian Embassy and directly by the Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora.
