In Serbia, tractor drivers and motorcyclists joined the protests of students and opposition supporters. The column, which has about 100 tractors, has entered the Brankov Bridge leading to the center of Belgrade, and is moving forward, footage from the spot on March 15 is published by Izvestia.

The vehicles are being escorted on foot by several thousand protesters holding banners and national flags. All of them intend to get to the parliament building in the center of the country's capital. Some protesters wore national costumes.

According to video footage from the event, farmers are waving flags, demonstrators are whistling noisily and blowing vuvuzela pipes. There are no police nearby.

The demonstration began in the Serbian capital early in the morning. The protest action of students involves the blocking of key points in Belgrade. According to the organizers' plan, the culmination of the action will begin at 17:00 local time (19:00 Moscow time) on the square in front of the Serbian Parliament. Amid the protests in Belgrade, public transport was suspended until the end of the day. During the protests, Interior Ministry officers also detained a man near the National Assembly (unicameral parliament) who threatened to blow up the residence of the Serbian president.

On March 8, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin said that the West was using the protests of students and opposition figures in Serbia to further push Belgrade and Moscow. According to him, the ongoing protests have no social background, it is "not a movement for a more just or successful society."

The reason for the start of anti-government protests by students and the opposition since November 2024 was the death of 15 people as a result of the collapse of the canopy of the railway station in Novi Sad. After the tragedy, Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesic resigned.
