378 people have been excluded from the register of missing residents of the Kursk region, all of them have been found, acting head of the region Alexander Khinshtein said on March 15.

He noted that due to the massive return of people from the liberated settlements of the Kursk region, the register of missing persons is being adjusted.

"At the moment, 378 names have been excluded from the register of persons with whom relatives have lost contact — these people have been found! The list of wanted residents, thank God, is gradually decreasing!" wrote Khinstein in his Telegram channel.

The acting governor added that residents may worry because the status of their loved one in the registry does not change, although they know for sure that he has returned.

"In order to remove a person from the wanted list, police officers need to stop the search case — to interview relatives, obtain the necessary documents, and make absolutely and completely sure that the person has been found. I hope for the understanding of the Kuryans — our residents have not been forgotten," he said.

On March 13, the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, announced that 154 residents of the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, who were previously listed as missing, had been found alive, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs had prepared documents to remove these people from the wanted list. She noted that law enforcement officers provide assistance to residents of the region who come from settlements liberated by the Russian military. On this day, footage from Sudzha was published immediately after the cleansing of the city from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

On March 12, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov, announced in a report to Russian President Vladimir Putin that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated more than 1,100 square kilometers of territory in the Kursk border region. He added that Kiev's plans for the Kursk region had failed.
