In Germany, a nurse was accused of murdering nine patients

A nurse at the Rhein-Maas clinic in the German city of Würselen is accused of giving lethal injections to at least nine patients at the facility. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on March 15.
"A nurse administered lethal injection to at least nine patients. According to the indictment, the alleged serial killer wanted peace and quiet during the night shift," the article says.
The 44-year-old defendant worked in the palliative care unit, while his victims were both terminally ill people and those patients who were already preparing for discharge.
Currently, the nurse is charged with a total of nine murders and 34 attempts on life. However, the investigation has not yet been completed — the current charges take into account only the last six months of the man's work in the hospital.
"The actions of the alleged serial killer at the Rhein-Maas clinic for three years prior to this are still being investigated," the article says.

In August, a 39-year-old doctor was imprisoned in Berlin, who unintentionally killed four of his patients and burned down their apartments to cover his tracks. The first victim was an 87-year-old woman in Neukeln. It is noted that after the arrival of firefighters, the woman was able to be resuscitated, but she died later in a medical facility. The other crimes were committed in a similar way.
