In May, Russian citizens will have 18 working days and 13 days off, in particular, on the May holidays, Russians will be able to rest twice for four days in a row. Marina Lopatina, an expert at the INSAP Center of the IPEI Presidential Academy, told about this on March 15.

"Residents of Russia will receive two blocks of four days off in a row in early May. There are 31 calendar days in May, of which 18 are working days and 13 are days off, timed to coincide with holidays," the TASS expert quotes.

The expert added that April 30 will be a pre-holiday working day, the duration of which will be reduced by one hour. But the pre-holiday working day on May 7 is not shortened, it will be full.

Thus, May 1 will be a public holiday, May 2 will be a postponed day off, and May 3 and 4 will be standard days off. After that, there will be a postponed day off on May 8, a day off on a public holiday on May 9 — Victory Day, and then on May 10 and 11, the standard days off.

On March 9, Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and a deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party, said that from May 8 to 11 and from June 12 to June 15, Russians are waiting for a big weekend due to the postponement of non-working days from February 23 and March 8. He recalled that postponing weekends is the government's right, which is carried out annually. The day off was shifted from January 4 to May 2, and February 23 was a non—working day on May 8. Thus, the short working week will last from May 5 to May 7.
