Vladimir Bedin, Deputy Director of the Botkin Center, died


Vladimir Bedin, Deputy director of the Moscow Multidisciplinary Scientific and Clinical Center named after S.P. Botkin (MMNCC), a surgeon, died at the age of 61. This was announced on March 15 by the press service of the institution.
"It is with the greatest regret that we inform you that at the age of 61, after a long illness, an abdominal surgeon, Deputy director for innovative development of the Botkin Moscow Medical Center, Professor Vladimir Vladimirovich Bedin, died," RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that the doctor has become a symbol of hope for many patients of the center. They considered him not just a doctor, but their savior. The death of the deputy director of the MMNCC was a great loss for medicine and everyone who knew him, the institution emphasized.
Bedin began his medical practice as a surgeon at the Kuzbass Regional Hepatological Center, which he became head of in 2001. Later, in 2007, he took the post of head of the Department of Liver and Pancreatic Surgery at Botkin Hospital. In 2024, he became the Deputy director of the MMNCC for innovative development and personally participated in the implementation of many of the latest medical methods in the institution.
In addition to practical work, the surgeon was also actively engaged in science and teaching at the Department of Surgery of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
